Without a doubt the fastest, easiest and uncomplicated piece of software I have ever tried. It's like someone has invented the wheel for the first time. Can't praise it highly enough.

Works OK, but would be really nice if you could drag and drop image files from windows explorer right into the file window.

Image Resizer did a fine job of copying very large tif images, resizing them to 1/4 of the original size and turning the new copy into jpegs. I found that, when I tried to do several batches in a row, I needed to end the program first and re-start it for each batch, otherwise the program hung up. I was using Vista Home Edition.
I intend to keep the software on my computer and use it for resizing in the future.

Simple, but excellent little program. Does just exactly what it says it does, without all the excess baggage of most programs. Perfect companion for your camera software, which probably does not have the ability to scale images.

I wasn't able to install this program. I don't remember the actual error message but it wasn't anything I knew how to fix. Running XP SP2 on HP Pavilion Laptop. Thanks.

Image Resizer is a wonderful tool. I used it to resize my pictures and the results were simply fantastic. I could not believe it. If you are have reason to worry about the size of your pictures, I recommend this tool to you as the ultimate solution. I tried it and was more than satisfied with the results and I will continue to use it. It is a great user-friendly tool.

I had to buy a netbook traveling for a business trip to Colombia and Chile. Since there were no features to edit pictures. I tried your resizer and the results are amazing.

After I got used to it...........

The software works pretty well. I still miss the ease of the XP powertoys though.

Very poor software

This software will create a smaller image with a larger file size and to make matters worse, the images have a jpeg extension but they are not jpegs anymore. I used this software to downsize a series of images that I created for an animation and when I tried to put them in Macromedia Flash software it gave an error message saying the extension does not match the file. If you want decent image resizing software download http://free-image-converter.free-image-converter.qarchive.org/

image file size

the resized smaller image is 3-4 times bigger in file size which makes the resizing pointless.

good for those who don`t care about file size

this program is DEFINITELY a must for people who want to just resize their images but doesn't really care about the file size. my main concern for this program is that it quadruples the file size (1 MB becomes 4MB plus) while resizing the image dimension (from 2560x1920 to 1600x1200 pixels). I have to back using Photoshop to fix my pics, one by one. I thought by using this program I can just resize all the pics I have without having to go through one by one :(

overall, this program is GREAT. it resize the file you want, it even gives you option (fixed size or 50% smaller than original file) on how small you want the resized image be. interface is superb, very easy to understand. price is also superb, FREE!

image resizer

Perfect tool... does the job.....

Except it keeps the same filesize as the original one ... it messes up the compression........ pity .... but for the rest, its okay = )

so its not a recommendation if you plan to resize pictures that you wanna use on your website, as their filesize stays big
